Welcome to Willow Mill Campsite — a family-run campground on the water in Rio, Wisconsin, and one of Columbia County’s best-kept secrets since 1968. Tucked along County Highway SS, Willow Mill sits on beautiful lakefront property where shaded, oversized sites back up to the water and the pace of life slows down the moment you pull through the gate. We’re open through October 20th, so there’s no shortage of season to work with. Wherever you’re coming from, we’re glad you found us.

Here at Willow Mill, our sites are large and shaded, with picnic tables and fire rings, and if you need firewood or ice we carry both at the camp store along with RV supplies, propane refills, and enough snacks and frozen food to cover a campsite dinner. The pool is open all summer, and if you want to get out on the water we have kayak rentals available. Mini golf and a game room keep the kids busy, and the pavilion and clubhouse give everyone a comfortable place to gather. We’re pet friendly, and the dog park gives your four-legged travel companions room to run. Over on the practical side, we have laundry facilities, private bathrooms, a dump station, and free WiFi near the camp store. Near many exciting local attractions.
Madison is about 30 miles southwest of us, and there’s a lot to do there. Henry Vilas Zoo is free to visit every single day of the year, and the Capitol Square, State Street, and the Lake Mendota shoreline give you plenty to explore. The University of Wisconsin campus runs right along the lake and is a great walk regardless of any connection to the school. Wisconsin Dells is about 35 miles north — it has more waterparks per square mile than anywhere else in the country, plus Wizard Quest, Tommy Bartlett Exploratory, and boat tours on the Wisconsin River.
